Take Up Your Cross!
2026 will demand the most of those who wish to follow Christ.
“Whoever does not take up their cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.” - Matthew 10:38
As we begin with our first church service for 2026, Jesus’ words confront us with a question few want to ask and fewer still want to answer honestly.
In the first century, a cross was not a symbol of comfort or hope. It was an instrument of execution. When Jesus called people to take up a cross, He was not speaking metaphorically.
This opening service for 2026 will explore:
