Church Festival 2025

Since before Living Waters Church started, our founders have organised and sponsored, along with other interested Christians, an annual Church Festival.

This year, the Festival theme is:

The Great Harvest - Jesus' Olivet Prophecy

The Festival will be held from October 7-14. Several church services will be held at Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club. A number of family-friendly activities are planned throughout the Festival.

From the start of our Festival season on the Feast of Trumpets (September 23) through to the end of the Festival, we will be teaching and preaching in-depth through Jesus' Olivet Prophecy in Matthew 24 & 25.

It will be a thrilling and challenging period of hearing the Word as we delve deep into Christ's Major Prophecy and Discourse on the End Times.

About The Christian Feast of Tabernacles

The Feast of Tabernacles was instituted under Moses, but was celebrated by Jesus Christ and His disciples. It is mentioned numerous times throughout the Gospels, when key events in Christ's ministry occurred during the various Festivals.

The Feast's events, themes and related passages in the Major and Minor Prophets and the Gospels - and tangential references throughout the New Testament - all point to the full, glorious reign of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God on earth.

Rehearsing them is like going through a panoply of Christ's activities and teachings, while also looking forward to the many prophecies and details of His return and the future God has planned.

We celebrate this Festival as a past and future fulfilment of God's promises to all of mankind through Jesus Christ.

In fact, as The Pre-Incarnate Word, Jesus actually instituted "The Feast" (as it is shortened) for all of Israel. It is prophesied that eventually all of mankind will celebrate the Feast.

Living Waters Church of God celebrates this Feast and the other Biblical Festivals.

BUT NOTE: We do NOT make celebrating these Festivals a requirement for members or attendees. We believe these Festivals should be kept by anyone wishing to worship God in loving response to His Word. We do not twist anyone's arm to attend, nor is any member of our church greater than another because they attend. The blessing is between you and God.

We fully recognise that people attending our church may look sceptically at these Festivals because the majority of Christians do not observe them. That doesn't make anyone better or more righteous than anyone else. Our fellowship with one another and between Christians is through faith in the blood of Jesus, not specific dates.

We cannot emphasise strenuously enough that we want our members to worship God the Father and Christ out of loving response to HIS love, not because of an imposition on their faith.

Having said that, we love celebrating these Festivals. We think anyone who starts keeping them as God intended will immediately take joy in what they've "been missing out on".

Our experience through many decades has been that observing these Festivals as God intended, in a spirit of humility, gratitude and worship has been a wonderful blessing as we "Rejoice before the LORD". The clearly deeper meaning of all of the Festivals in the Bible has only served to deepen our understanding, love, Godly fear, faith in His goodness and hope in His plan for all humanity.
